Pathline stores your location history locally on your Android device. It does not require an account and does not sell your data. Network access is used for map and place features, and backups are written only to storage locations you choose.

The Pathline Data API lets another app on the same device read the user's timeline (visits and
trips) and raw location samples through a read-only Android ContentProvider. The
access is protected by custom Android runtime permissions the user approves and can revoke at any time.
Users will receive notifications for access attempts and can review access history in the app.
